Beginner Advanced Yoga & Pilates – Progress and refine your practice!

It’s time to progress your Pilates & Yoga practices to the next level! Whether you are wanting to build strength, flexibility, mental clarity or emotional wellbeing, the combination of Pilates & Yoga is a great inclusion into your weekly routine.

Join Meaghan (Yoga & Meditation) and Melinda (HIIT Pilates), for this 5 week course designed to increase your understanding and application of these practices. As always classes will be safe, inclusive and offered from a down-to-earth perspective. Making it easier for you to learn and grow, and to meet your goals.

Whether you have only a little bit of experience, or a lot, we welcome you to dive a little deeper and learn something new about these practices and maybe even yourself!

WHEN : Starts Monday 26 February – Wednesday 27 March (5 weeks/10 classes)

WHAT : Mondays @ 5:30pm – HIIT Pilates with Melinda Louise

HIIT Pilates is ‘high intensity interval training’ working with Pilates principles of control to build core strength, muscle tone and flexibility. The beginner advanced course will combine the strength training aspects of traditional Pilates to work the different muscle groups, with short bursts of cardio to burn calories. This practice is designed to build on and increase your strength and flexibility as you tone and sculpt your body. Each session finishes with stretching and mindful meditation to promote mental clarity and enhance emotional and spiritual wellbeing.

WHAT : Wednesdays @ 5:30pm – Yoga & Meditation with Meaghan Collins

Over this five week block Meaghan will be introducing you to the 5 Anusara Universal Principles of Alignment. These alignment principles are designed to build strength, minimise risk of injury and to maximise the energetic impact of the pose and your personal overall comfort and experience in your practise. Expect pose breakdowns and experimentation in poses to help you understand how to make your practice work best for you. Each session will include pranayama (breathwork) and guided meditation so you experience a well-rounded experience of Yoga.

WHO : Meaghan & Melinda are both passionate about their modalities, each having experienced positive changes in their own lives from practising them. They create safe and supportive spaces for learning so people can truly benefit and thrive in their classes.

Teaching Yoga & Meditation since 2004, Meaghan has dedicated her life to sharing Yoga with others in a way that is authentic, relatable and achievable. Her classes deliver thoughtful sequencing, heart-felt contemplation and curiosity and compassion for this shared human experience. Teaching alongside her counselling practise helps Meaghan fulfill her desire to help people find peace, contentment and self-compassion in their lives.

Melinda has been an avid health and fitness advocate all her adult life, consistently engaging in weight training, cardio and Pilates. Combining her love of health and wellness with the healing and empowering properties of Pilates, Melinda is dedicated to inspiring others through teaching. As well as being a certified Pilates instructor Melinda is also an author, speaker and certified life coach who is passionate about helping people overcome adversity and embrace self-love to create a happy and fulfilling life.

** Requests to participate in only one half of the course will be considered and determined by number. Investment for individual component i.e. either Pilates or Yoga will be $115
